The Free School’s 3rd, 4th and 5th graders share their photography with you at Albany's 1st Friday, opening June 7 from 5 p.m-8 p.m. at Albany Center Gallery's Arcade space (488 Broadway, Suite 107, Albany, NY 12207).
Teacher/Photographer Diana Morales challenged her students to take photographs of people, places and things around their South End school campus, with instructions to stop and think before they hit the shutter, explore their point of view, and make a conscious decision with their framing.
Students used 35 mm analogue cameras, color and black and white film.
Exhibitors include Finnoula - 5th Grade/10 year old; Sadie - 4th grade, 9 year old; Izzy - 3rd grade, 9 year old; Kamilah - 3rd grade, 8 year old and Diana, 4th & 5th grade teacher.
